AgeWell At Home

by MyHuis

Helping older adults stay confident, independent, and safe in their own homes — with expert guidance and practical home living improvements.

The Aging at Home Problem

Aging at home sounds ideal — until small challenges start adding up:

👎 Increased fall risk and home safety hazards

👎 Everyday tasks become harder

👎 Small issues turning into emergencies

👎 Adult children worrying from afar

Most solutions are fragmented: families become coordinators, piecing everything together; therapists make recommendations; contractors work without context; and independent aging is limited.

The AgeWell Home Solution

AgeWell at Home is designed to help older adults maintain independence, confidence, and safety in their homes while keeping family members updated.

We focus on both the person and the home environment, combining occupational therapy expertise with practical living improvements — so older adults can remain safely at home longer.

This is not medical or personal care.

It is a proactive, preventive, and practical way to live life on your terms.

What’s Included in AgeWell At Home?

  • We begin with an in-home assessment by a board-certified Occupational Therapist (OT) and aging-in-place specialist to identify:

    ✔️ Personal goals for independence

✔️ Limitations in daily activities, strength, and mobility, such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and more.

✔️ Environmental, fall, safety, and accessibility barriers, and more

Your OT collaborates with you to define what matters most so you can AgeWell in your own home—not a one-size-fits-all checklist.

Recommendations focus on promoting safety and functional independence.

  • MyHuis Handyman handles home safety repairs and accessibility improvements recommended by your OT.

    Examples include:

    • Grab bars, handrails, and threshold adjustments

    • Lighting improvements and trip-hazard fixes

    • Bathroom safety equipment

    • Small home modifications that significantly reduce fall risk

All work is coordinated by MyHuis team — no chasing contractors or unclear next steps.

    • App with all the summaries, reports and updates with option for family access
