Why We Started MyHuis

We were tired, stressed, and spending every weekend managing home repairs.

My husband and I both come from tech backgrounds—I spent 15 years in customer success teams and have a master's in artificial intelligence. My husband has experience in aviation maintenance and started renovating his parents' 1920s home when he was just 14.

Despite our backgrounds, we found ourselves drowning in home maintenance chaos. Between our own home and managing rental properties, we were constantly:

  • Spending weekends running between properties
  • Evaluating issues we didn't have time to research
  • Calling multiple vendors for quotes
  • Coordinating schedules and follow-ups
  • Letting things fall apart because we were too busy

We realized: there had to be a better way.

So in November 2025, we started researching what would become MyHuis. We officially launched in January 2026 with a simple mission: build the platform that manages home maintenance the way busy professionals need it managed.
